Permitting Capability

Permitting Experience

  1. The DCCR CSO Tunnel Program, a 2.6 billion-dollar program, in the District of Columbia is being implemented to reduce combined sewer overflows. We have processed well over 1,800 permit applications. We work closely with reviewers within DDOT and other District agencies, such as Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE), utility companies, such as PEPCO and Washington Gas, and third-party reviewers. In addition, we coordinated major engineering design submittal reviews with DDOT reviewers and third-party reviewers for DCCR CSO tunnel projects during the design phase to make sure that the designs can be permitted during the permitting phase to meet the project schedule under the DDOT AWI Program with Ch2M team.

We have processed about 200 DDOT public space permit applications for this project. As a part of the permitting support effort, we coordinate the permitting effort with the D/B team to identify priority permit applications and coordinate the permitting process with the CH2M project management team.
